Oma’s Restaurant
One dish. One branch. Every branch sold out.
The challenge
Oma’s was launching IFFA chicken — a dish nobody in Kannur had put on a menu before. A new product in a new market has no existing demand to tap: people cannot ask for something they have never heard of.
What we did
- Did the groundwork first to understand how the dish would actually land locally
- Ran full pre-production, shoot and post-production in about one week
- Built the film as a UGC-style process video rather than a polished ad
- Collaborated with local channels to extend reach at low cost
The results
The dish was introduced at a single restaurant, but people turned up at every Oma’s branch asking for it. It went out of stock, the crowd outgrew what the team could manage, and management asked us to stop posting updates about it. They were happy enough with the campaign to hand us their Saudi operation next. We also designed their poster campaign and positioning for the launch.
From the campaign
“Stop posting about the dish — we cannot keep up.”Management, Oma’s Restaurant
Demand can be manufactured when the creative shows the product being made, not just plated. Do the groundwork, then let the process sell it.
